OK, as some know I have a Silverton 31C that is for sale. The boat has been sitting on the hard since the fall of 2017. It was winterized and stored with ~250 gallons (full tank) of ethanol free 91...

The Sherwood pump in my Donzi and the two Pleasurecraft pumps in my cruiser all use the insert. It's a lot easier (cheaper) to machine a round hole and add a piece than to machine the final shape...
Even before I read it I was thinking number three as well...
