Beutiful 18 AND GTO
thanks for sharing the pictures. Life doesn't suck!
Beautiful Corsican!
I agree with you about the looks. It's enjoyable seeing the reaction and getting many thumbs up from people who are much too young to have been around in Donzi's heydays as I...
Thanks. I hope you don't either!

I guess we were all bitten by the same bug at an early age. I was 10 when I saw my first Donzi. I'll never forget the day, the smell of the new resin and the sound when it started.
We seem to have...
De winterization day is one of my favorite days of the year. It's always nice getting out for the first time each spring. Yesterday I went for about an hour ride, near sunset, by myself in no hurry...
I would think that surely sombody in the Boston area does it.

No doubt but after my experience I would go with vinyl even if the cost were higher. Not to mention if it were scratched or damaged it could be repaired very easily and cheap.
I had an X18 back in...
Thanks for the compliments. I must admit she has a very easy life and I'm a bit OCD with the upkeep.
Everything on it is bone stock the way it came from the factory in '95.

Yessir, It's hard to believe what they do with the cars. They can do complete cars with all the curves, nooks and crannies. I'm sure that the solid side of boats would be a snap!

If you want to get in touch with the guy who did mine let me know, I'm sure I can find his number. He's a good guy and I'm sure he could answer any questions you have.
Oh yea, forgot to mention, it comes in a roll and he cuts it.
Had the same as you. The yellow just wouldn't wake up no matter what we tried. Had center stripe, waterline and bordering pinstripes all done for $500 which I think is reasonable. The guy is an...
Had same problem and went with vinyl too. Couldn't be happier!
My story of catching the fever re posted from several years ago.
When I was 10 years old I was on the gas dock at Holiday Marina on Lake Lanier in Georgia and a man pulled up trailering a brand...
I don't necessarily have "misconceptions" about salt water. I love salt water boating and would enjoy taking mine to the shore for some fun. Wouldn't hesitate. With flushing an good cleanup there is...
No offense taken, will let you know if I ever do.
I had a '74 X-18 in yellow also that I would like to have again too.
I hope you didn't get the impression that I'm dumb enough to think trading an 18 for a 22 wouldn't cost me money.
Your boat is beautiful. Looks as nice as mine but I'm going to pass due to the...
I have a '95 18 Classic. 350 Magnum Alpha. 155 Hrs.
Boat is perfect. Would entertain the thought of trading for a 22 if it were in equal condition.
Is it a fresh water boat? Hrs?

I found this picture on the Internet with no caption of its owner. I'm pretty sure this is a boat I owned from 1984 to 1988. I recognize the seats that I had made as well as the exact coloring and...
Good luck with it.
I'm envious of your Whaler. When I was a kid growing up in Fort Lauderdale, I had several friends with 13' Whalers. Fondest memories being pulled around on my Cut n Jump ski by...
Let me know if I can help.
I'm sure we can find a 22 around here somewhere to measure if you want my man to cut you a stripe. Being in Florida I suppose there are some professional installers. I...
Thanks,
He did use heat. What I found amazing is he was able to shape it over and around the lifting rings without removing them and there's not a trace of a cut.
I will post some close ups of...
The boat is finished and I could not be more satisfied with the results.
Here are some pictures I took from the shop tonight. I will bring it home Friday and post some pictures in the sunshine this...
Nick,
The vinyl man quoted me $650.00 which i thought was reasonable. As far as lifting from the cover, I will ask but looking at other boats I wouldn't think so, it looks really durable and is...
