Peeps,
Now it looks to me that the event includes (3) boat runs -
friday
1. lunch run to lees ford marina
2. return trip to jamestown marina
saturday
3. fun run to harmon creek
Bringing my newly repaired & Trueserized 1990 Sweet 16 to the event. I know it will run great! This boat is roughly a 50 mph boat. I know I will get left in the wake of many, which is fine.
Not knowing the routes on the lake system, will it be difficult for me to navigate, keep up, etc. Will there be other slow pokes, relatively speaking, of course?
When Im on the small lakes of northern Wisconsin, no problem, as I know the lakes and a 50 mph boat there is very fast.
Give the newbie some advise....Thanks in advance.

you are going to have a great time
we have everything from really fast boats (blackhawks) right on down to 30-40mph boats
everyone runs in one direction then we stop and wait for everyone to catch-up and start again so we try to keep everyone together as much as possible
as mentioned above
the only issue that we have run into is the big dogs(aka fastest boats, akka blackhawks, more commonly known as the biggest of deals) don't really pay too close attention and run so far ahead that they tend to go too far (the end of the lake) and have to come back
the beauty of this running is lake is that there are only 2 directions you can go and if you are behind just keep going until to see someone you recognize or if you are ahead stop and go back
No need to worry new brethren, Shea is right (Glashole)! You will have a great time. Besides, it's a rule.........no bitching allowed!!!!!!!!!!! I will be starting a thread pointing out some tings.
While the lone Donzi 275 medallion cruiser may only have a top speed of 42 mph, he was not the last one to Lee's Ford last year......and no, he did not get a head start.
Sorry to hear you won't have your better half with you, maybe you can find a rent-a-chick on the dock or something. Shea used to bring a chick wit him, now he just brings a dood.
Look forward to meeting you, have a safe trip down,
tom
Tom,
Look forward to meeting you too! You have been very nice to me, thanks.
Perhaps, I'll find a Kentucky girl who enjoys the aroma of a fine cigar, and ride'n in a bad ass lil boater. Then I'll have to 86 her before I leave!

Don't Worry E, Me and The Revenge tend to loaf behind and police up the stagglers....let's the...um....Blackhawks go running off like banshees.:nilly:
Warning to all...if you need a tow....I will be towing at speed this time. All the love for Sam and his VERY Sweet. Aniv. 16....but 3 hours back to Jamestown was just too much:yes:
No worries on the tow boats! We have an official tow boat this year! Only one though....so lets keep the boats fueled :lookaroun: and prochargers inspected
:cool!:
it always comes back to the fuel deal! so i guess i'll put 30 gal in this year instead of the normal 19-20 that i put in to keep the old clunker light
Printing the registration off now...mailing with the check tomorrow. Just me (unless some eye candy comes into the picture in the next couple of days:lookaroun:) and possibly the 18. I will only be able to join on Saturday and/or Saturday evening due to my work schedule.
See you guys there!
I booked a three room cabin this morning. So it looks like my two sons and I will be coming. I am not sure if my Flex will be able to put the boat in at that ramp, so I may need a hand....
Brad
