In dash depth sounder

In case any of you guys are wanting to install an in dash depth sounder, I wanted to mention the Hawkeye unit as a viable candidate. I installed one in my 23' Donzi center console and it works perfectly at speed. The instructions warn not to install the transducer on any boat with more than a 20 degree hull so I called their tech rep since the Donzi is 24 degree. It turns out that there is an arrow on the top of the transducer which needs to face the keel instead of forward like the general instructions mention. I cut the 2" hole for the thru hull transducer and installed it with the arrow facing the keel with fingers crossed and it reads perfect at every speed.
