After about 6 months of research tracking down many leads I have finally found a windshield solution. In fact, these are OE stainless windshields that are available from the original supplier to Donzi.

This is a LIMITED supply as many of the parts were still in "stock" and are no longer in production. These windshields are brand new with plexi and will cost about $3400, although glass is available at additional cost.

It's hard to say just how many complete windshields can be made but I understand the number is small, 3 or 4 maybe. Given these are the last of the last.... well, you'll have to make the call.

Signed up, paid for (not cheap) and approved. No backing out now. Even bought a couple things to finish off a couple of the loose ends that would have been frowned upon during judging. Not really expecting to win anything (you should see some of the stuff that shows up there) just want to be part of the "in crowd" for once.
If all goes well this year I'll think about taking the 19 next year and have a whole Nova Marine exhibit. lol

I have an '87 Magnum 350 (Z21) that I rebuilt last year and am trying to "sort out / tune" for this season. It has an older set of heads (all redone) and is running at about 10:1 compression with a CompCam (basiclly stock) cam. It has the stock Q-jet on a Weiand intake with through the hull exhaust. It is running a MSD Blaster coil on the stock ignition (Thunderbolt) with a rebuilt dist. Here are the questions that I have:

What gap should I have on the plugs? I have NGK BR6FIX and am thinking either: .035, .040, .044. Leaning toward .040. Any thoughts / experience?

What timing should I set it at? I am thinking at 10 degrees BTDC. Thoughts / experience?

Resistor for coil? I am "old" car guy and am use to some type of resistance for power to the coil (wire or ceramic). The boat wiring does not have one (nor show one in the wiring diagram). I am planning on leaving well enough alone if it is not going to cause any issues (I have not really check the coil temp once running for a while. It is mounted in the stock location on the intake near the dist). Thoughts / experience?

Thanks - Quick responses would be great as I am in the middle of the installing plugs, etc...
Hull looks good, but it does have the standard floor cracks in the front. Window is cracked, but it is all there so could be reproduced by a plastic shop. The seats are OK, trailer is less then marginal. Would not tow without changing out the bunks and adding fenders. Brought it to my location on a flat bed. Was going to do a restore on it but, ended up with a bigger project boat. It can be seen in Galloway, NJ. The drive looks pretty clean but I can't say for sure. It was a saltwater boat, but very little corrosion on the drive. I have only had it for a few weeks. Please call 609-206-9480 to see it, or set up an appointment.

This is a great movie for any Aronow-boat fan. I took the movie out of the wrapping last week and watched it once, so you can count that it is in like new condition.

I'll sell this to anyone interested for $12. I'm not sure how much shipping will cost, and I do not plan on profiting off of people through shipping, so I'll just say $4.

That brings the total to: $16 including shipping

I accept money through PayPal. I will send you my PayPal e-mail through a PM if you plan to purchase the item.

I will send Mr. Ditmar a p.m. and hopefully he chips in on this thread. Obviously this was a labor of love for

him and he's been a member on the Donzi Registry since 2004. Because of his drag racing background I'm

also very curious about these stroked Chrysler wedge mills he stuck in this amazing Sportsman. I wonder

if he's refering to eleven hulls made as possibly the number of racehulls that were produced? Donzi made

close to fifty Sportsman hulls in total as far as I have gathered from comments by members that know a lot

more about these fantastic vintage boats. Here's the link to the eBay ad for the boat and a couple of the

featured photos. Love this boat!
