Trying to figure out exactly what year my 350 is. What does M/T on the valve covers indicate? Dipstick is starboard. Any ideas?

M/T stands for Mickey Thompson. You have aftermarket valve covers on that engine. The best way to accuratly identify that engine is to get the stamped number off the block and trace it down.

you bet, grab the casting number off of the bellhousing flange behind the intake manifold / distributor area and go to www.mortec.com, (http://www.mortec.com,) they have a comprehensive list of casting numbers and info. there are also charactaristics of year groupings... pop the valve cover and get a head casting number also, mortec has all of the casting info for cylinder heads.

Does anyone know of a resource like that (Mortec.com) for Fords? I need to find out more about my 289.
