I don't think anyone can answer that question - it is a trick question because I have never seen anyone just cruise in a Classic! http://www.donzi.net/ubb/wink.gif

Jim, I have a 18 Corsican with a 351 Clevland in it. and a 22 Criterian with a 502 in it. Both are massaged. Fuel is about the same. Here onour lake I go the sane places with either boat, gph is about the same with the same driver-ME. the 22 has a bigger tank so the tank last longer.

I would figure 4MPG@ cruise for the 18/350 and about 3.5MPG@ cruise 22/454. Figure cruise @ 30MPH so 7.5 vs 8.57
The extra weight of the 22 is offset by its reverse chines so most of the difference is in the engines.

On my last trip, I ran about 130 miles on 40 gallons in my 350 powered 18, 1996 4-barrel w/mild cam. I know I used 40 gallons because I ran out of fuel 300 yards from the gas pump. This equates to around 3.25 MPG. It was with a full boat, 4 adults and a lot of gear. I probably averaged between 45-50 MPH for 100 miles of the run and around 30 MPH for the remainder once I realized I might not make it back to the fuel station.
