What is the correct factory spot to put a stereo and speakers? I am trying to keep it original. What type of radio and speakers were offered in '95 on an 18?
How about depth sounders?

Thanks again

I think the stereos go right were the older style classics have a grab bar.
the speakers go on the sides underneath the deck.
Im not to sure though, im just going by the pictures in my head. (and from the 1989 portfolio)

We just installed a Kenwood marine stereo and speakers in my 2000 Donzi 18 classic and found that the side panels behind the front seats were already cut out at the factory with a 5" hole. I do not know if the 95 models were the same.

Thanks for the input. How about a depth gauge and sounder?

Mike, I know that in some models (22), I have seen depth gauges, I've not seen any on 18's or 16's, however I would highly recomend them. We installed a Hummingbird in our 22, it looks great and we centered it in the dash cluster of other gauges, equal distant, it works great and does not look out of place. Alot of other installs I've seen them right behind the drivers steering wheel or just off to the side. Once you have it you'll wonder why you waited so long, it gives you peice of mind if nothing else in mapping out depths of your normal cruise area. It's real handy in a Bay where you have changing conditions on water levels, tides, etc. good luck...Doc

I am used to being out on my Fathers Four Winns which came with the sounder. I feel naked without one now. I will have to upgrade soon.
