I have piles of boating mags. Mostly Power & Motoryacht, Boating, BoatUS. Might throw in some Powerboat and Hot Boat also. I'm not shipping them. You need to be local and pick them up. If no one takes them they will go in recycle bin.

I think it really needs to be known if your friend that house sits for you has 'gone through them ' first .

lol, no. I'm the only one here who masturbates over boat pictures ;)! I'm leaving on a Christmas trip in the morning. Let's take care of this in a few days. Thanks. Got lots of magazines that have to go. No they haven't been masturbated on ... Maybe some drool though.

Well there's nothing like bringing in the new year with one hell of a cold. That's what I get for spending New Year's Eve in a packed casino and nightclub. Alright, I can't bring myself to come off the Powerboats or HotBoats. The first Powerboat I pulled out had a 38ZR on the cover. That doesn't leave a whole lot of magazines left. If someone still wants them then contact me and come get them. I guess Ken has first dibs. Sorry about the delay.

I was just going to bring them to Canada for Ed......if they arrived at my doorstep in SC.

I do not want them.

The only old Powerboat I kept is the one that has me on the cover.

I kind of figured that after I decided to keep the Powerboat and Hot Boat mags that no one would want the leftovers. They've already been dumped in the local paper recycling bin! :)

I work in the Powersports Industry and the industry had "the show" in Indy for years.

Ehlert Publishing (Rider Magazine (motorcycle), Powerboat, and others) had an industry party and I was talking to one of their VP's, Dick Hendricks.

I asked Dick how one gets to go to a Powerboat Sea Trial shoot. His response was, just ask me.

After a few emails, my wife and I ended up attending the October 2006 Trial in Sarasota.

I was able to get a ride in a 42 foot (I think) Sunsation and the 43 foot Donzi ZR.

I spent the day watching the behind the scenes of a sea trial.

Other than a 115 MPH rip in the Donzi, I was amazed on how close to the boat the helicopter flies to take the photos. Maybe 30 feet above the boat for the overhead shots and for the head on shots, maybe 40 feet off the bow and 20 feet off the water.

The only words of advice from the staff before the day began was DO NOT LOOK AT THE HELICOPTER.

All in all it was a great day on the water.

The cover shot of the Donzi made the Jan 2007 issue and I am in the back seat drivers side.

I think that all changed soon after when Bob Teague speared a chopper and killed Newby and Copeland. :(

If my memory serves me, the next month's (or two) issue has the new Sunsation (42 foot), I am in the shoot also.
