Guys, my '92 Sweet 16 with a 200 HP 302 HO and 1.58 Cobra drive had been running a 14.75x21" tweaked SST prop before I grenaded the engine. Best run was 59.8 GPS MPH at 4800 RPM.

The new motor will be a reman 302 with a Lunati roller cam, 9.5 compression ratio, 450 cfm Holley 4 barrel on an aluminum dual plane manifold. I expect around 300 HP.

So, the question for you guys who've been there, done that: what props do we like these days? 23" at least.

Thanks for the input, John C

I'd try a 24" first, based on looking at a slip calculator and assuming you really pick up 100 HP. Thinking 67-69 MPH.

A 24p would be a good start. I would recommend dropping the diameter to a 14 1/4. You should try a Turbo1 which is the right diameter.

Speed should be around 68+.
