Is this anyone active on the forums? Boat was bouncing and chine walking all over the place. Fortunately it sounds like the driver will be OK. http://m.lakeexpo.com/boating/race-boat-crashes-at-shootout-finish-line-photos/article_2b13d0aa-6c7e-11e6-ad4a-5b42f69052b3.html?mode=jqm Video here starts at 2:51

Never mind. Word is that the driver suffered broken ribs and bruises. His name is Jeff McCann.

Wishing the best possible outcome for the guy , but are you sure that's a C22 ?

Yes. It's highly modified and has a pad. Someone said he had removed the pad though so I'm not sure if there was a pad on this run. There are a couple threads on OSO.

Is it true that there was another crash this weekend at the same place? Two men died?

In reading about the accident listed in the first post of this thread I've found an article about an accident over the same weekend that killed two men, then another about a 35 footer running up on the beach due to a drunk driver. All three incidents occurred at the Lake of the Ozarks. Wow.

Yes, two men dead in a boat crash. The life jacket saved the Donzi driver as he was unconscious and face down in the water. LOTO is NOT on my list of places to go. Sad week-end.

Yes, 2 drowned in a 44' MTI blow over after Friday's poker run, then a 35' fastec up in someone's yard, LOTO is and can be a wicked place to boat, narrow lake, many cruisers and a lot of boats, waves can be very inconsistent, just have to learn the lake and be careful it really is a very cool place to boat when common sense and safety is used, another issue is 80% of the boaters wanna boat on 20% of the lake, it is rough from the 10M to the 26MM, look where 80% of the accidents are. Godspeed to the 2 perished and hope the best for the recovery of the guy in the 22. No one injured in the fourmula beeching except some pride and his pocket book.
