8461984623846208462184622I'm offering my 1973 Magnum 25 Sport. I will post some pictures later today.

Here is the story.... I purchased this boat in Illinois back in 1988 and used it on the Chain of Lakes, Geneva Lake and Lake Delavan until I purchased my Magnum Maltese in 1997. At that point I put the boat in storage in Long Grove Illinois and started a engine rebuild on the starboard side. I removed the head and had the valves redone and the head resurfaced. During the rebuild I sold the Magnum along with my Donzi 18 to a guy from Chicago.

He removed the engine block and all related items from the boat.....and never did anything else. He stored the boat at my location and only came around once a year to change the tarp and redo some of the tie down straps.

Fast forward to last year. He contacted me asking if I wanted the boats back. He said he lost the engine! :0

Here is the bottom line.

1973 Magnum 25 sport. Twin Volvo AQ 170B inline 6 cylinder engines. ( One missing )
Hull is in very good shape. Original Gelcoat on deck and bottom. Sides repainted before I bought her in '88.
Interior is gone! Weather and raccoons took care of that.
Volvo 270 outdrives were in good working order when I put her away.
Caulkens roller trailer is serviceable, needs new tires.

I would like to see her go to someone who could bring her back to life.

If anyone wants an unbiased opinion ( :biggrin.: ) on how great these boats run just ask me .

I forgot to post a price... $ 750.00! You could part out the old Volvo motor and make that back.

The trailer tires hold air but show lots of dry rot.

That's a whole lotta stuff for the money !

Although it's not an apples to apples comparison because I'm out in La La land but in 1998 we paid $5000 for in upside down shell with nothing but the deck hatch , console and gas tank hatch .

This one has almost everything needed to turn it back into a near original .

That would make a nice project for someone.

If, on the other hand, someone is interested in a 25 Sport and wants to go in the opposite direction, a really nice turn key boat will be coming up for sale in about a month or so. PM me for details.

If no one is interested, I will give it to charity.
