This is NOT A MAGNUM BUT A CLEM GEM Aero or Lancer :boggled: that was for sale in Michigan a few years ago for around 15K. It's rigged with Alpha drives & big block Chevy engines. Depending on the day it was built by Klem it may have pine wood stringers or some other wood that was lying around the shop. One of the biggest problems these boats have is who rigged it, Klem never used SS bolts & one size bolt with many washers was the norm. I set this one up [ this black one ] for a friend who just bought the blank hull & it turned out very nice, but when it came time to sell he had to give it away. When you can buy a real Magnum for that price why would you buy this Klem copy.

Here is a pic of the interior. The dash & the seats give it away as a Klem Gem..

Here is one more pic of this Klem Aero & the real Magnum [ DOUBLE VISION] that Klem made the mold from. Klem copied this timeless Magnum style but unfortunately not it's quality.

Good catch.

This boat isn't stamped (HIN) as a Magnum right?

Buyer beware.

There are a lot of errors in the text. Definitely sounds like a scam.

Here is where the waterline would be. In addition to all the concerns on this boat, I wouldn't want alpha drives behind big blocks.

Bill unlike a real Magnum Klem built his Gems with the fuel tank under the cockpit floor, no bow tanks setting the hull from the start a little deeper in the stern. Klem also built most of the boats with after market engines with aluminum exhaust manifolds making the engines lighter than a all cast Iron Mercruiser big block package that was sold back in the late 70's & 80's. This Blue Klem Magnum imposter had Klems famous Stern Power drives & Indamar big Block package, from this pick it did not sit to deep in the stern.. When this same Klem Gem [ 2nd stearn pick ] went up for sale last year 30+ years later it now sports small blocks & custom 4 x 4 wood racing engine mounts :boggled: & Alpha drives. Who ever bought this one thinking it was a Magnum is in for a big surprise !!:nilly:

Here's what Klem's 27 was missing, from my real Magnum.
