Very rare DONZI. 1976 Spirit.
I’m posting this boat here to give the real Donzi fans first crack at this boat. If I don’t get any interest I’ll post it on the usual suspects around the internet.
350 Mercruiser MAGNUM EFI MPI GEN+ 300 HP
Mercruiser BRAVO 1 I/O Stern Drive
Mercruiser 3 Blade Stainless Propeller
Runs excellent. All metal is either chrome plated brass, stainless, or aluminum. This is one of the driest 24' hulls ever made. Beautiful Harry Schoell designed stringer-less, monocoque hull with liner construction. The 24ft. hull is a truly a big water boat but easily trailerable, very capable boat in almost any water.
Boat has some cosmetic issues mainly gel coat spider cracks where the transom was re-glassed and re-gel coated when it was repowered. I used a Dremel to open the cracks up but I never got around to filling them in. Aluminum rubrail has a small dent starboard bow. The plywood in the floorboard around motor was rotted. I removed and split the old floorboard, and have a brand new piece of marine plywood that just has to be cut and glued back into the floorboard sections. Dash has a few cracks. Gelcoat is starting to show it’s 40 year old age.
I’ve tried to describe everything to the best of my knowledge. I have owned this boat since 1991. I’ve been letting the bottom paint wear off, as you can see in the photos. Just rebuilt the sea water pump, and replaced zincs. Cabin upholstery in great condition, redone by bilt-rite a few years back.
Calkins dual axle trailer included.
Both boat and trailer titles in hand.
All pictures and video taken within the last two weeks.
My price is very firm but I think fair and well worth the money $7999.00.
