I'm wondering if I should run heavy or light. I'm thinking the light would flow better and stay cooler. Any thoughtshttp://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

What is the viscosity of each?

I found a marine parts site that sells the heavy for an outdrive.
Heavy ShockProof® (http://www.redlineoil.com/product.aspx?pid=44&pcid=8)
Film thickness greater than an SAE 75W250, yet low fluid friction like 75W90
Lightweight ShockProof® (http://www.redlineoil.com/product.aspx?pid=43&pcid=8)
Film thickness greater than an SAE 75W140, yet low fluid friction like 80W gear oil or 30W motor oil

The product has a great following, but it is a a fluid like liquid silicone.
I would use the thinner of the two. IMO.
