16 Prop

Hi I have a 91 16 with a 302, has a 23" S/S prop. Turns 4000 plus a needle width 57.6 GPS would like to see atleast 42-4400 WOT. Does anyone know what the stock Cobra prop was back then?

Phil, I would make sure your tach is correct first, I have a 16 with a 4.3 merc and was turning a 21 laser II at 5150 and gps was 57.4 which by my calculations was an 8% slip, went to a 23 mirage and now turning 4600 but I believe the laser was faster, waiting to get it back from prop shop for some mods, I would start there.

what do you guys mean when you say 8% slip?
do you mean the prop slipping? I have no clue.
