Another Donzi wanna-be for sale:

I like the part about taking your friends for a 90mph boat ride. If this tub does 90, I'll eat it with a fork and spoon! LOL

Someone bid 3500 for it.
Wonder what it says on the title? :bonk:

Could the pump and engine be worth $3,500??

OTOH, it has "DONZI" stickers on it, so it must be so ! :)

So we will see if this goes anywhere.

The guy has a 100% rating, so I wrote him suggesting that one does not get a 100% rating by misrepresenting the items they are selling.

I assured him that beyond the Donzi stickers, there is nothing Donzi about that boat. And if it was a 1975, there would be a hull identification number on the transom. I told him if he provided me with the HIN, I would look up who actually manufactured the boat.

We will see.

I also told him (politely) that he had a bad title since he stated it had Donzi listed as mfg. Also suggested he put a tape measure on it, it looks like 18' to me. - giving the benefit of the doubt, he may just be very uninformed

Or, maybe he has a hopped up Suburban (or similar) tow vehicle that seats six.... he could get it up to 90 mph that way :)

A friend of mine told me about this boat about 2 years ago. It was someone that he knows. I spoke to the owner 2 years ago before he ever listed it for sale and informed him that it was not a Donzi after I was sent pictures. Guess he thought I was full of it. So he is well informed what it is not. I remember him also telling me it was a prototype. Guess you cant fix stupid.

Scott, apparently Donzi made more than one prototype........

He should have took the 3500 and ran. Even if it was a Donzi its not worth it.
