Yes they did Greg. They are really working to get her to the Tavares show in two weeks. It was rigged before painting so all there is to do is reinstall everything. I think first time in the water will be Lake Dora. Very exciting. Can't wait to start the next one. That will be red like the baby with 502MPI and a Bravo. This one is a V drive. Mario's boat,he is excited to see it done.
Mario, you coming down? I for to ask you. Throw the little lady in the back of the truck and the dog in the front seat and come on down!!

Sweet!! Those boys from the 'burgh certainly know how to paint Bert. Who are you using to do your interior upholstery? Fineline in Florida?

Burt love the color combo, looks similar to the Gulf race cars back in the day. Sorry I cant make Dora this time as I have to keep a eye on Mr Bill as we start reassembling Bills boats :nilly:in time for summer. Mark

Bert, are those custom fabricated brackets that support the V-drive gearbox that apparently bolt to the stringers and through the bottom of the hull?

Yes, they are custom brackets. They are fastened to the coring by composite threaded inserts. Good eye.

Beautiful! I came close to doing my 22 in those colors.

Very Nice Carrera... Looks like a 75 with that tail though.

Looks beautifully rigged. (Don't even want to tell you how much wrestling I did with v-drives. Those mounts bring back a lot of memories of a past project. Would've been MUCH easier with those nice brackets you have.)

Can't tell if I'm looking at a painted vinyl rubrail with an insert, or an SS-only rubrail spanning the shoebox joint. Don't know my Donzi hulls that well. Looks great either way.

Looks great. Take the dock lines off when underway though. They detract from the beauty of it ;). It would be great if you bring it to AOTH. I think this is going to be a good year!

Very fun week end. All in all there were 5 Donzi's there. Three no shows. Maybe next year.
An 18 2 plus three, 22 Classic, sweet 16, the Baby and the Hornet. Lots of Glass at the show.

I was thinking that if someone had described those colors to me I would have thought "It won't work" but now that I see Bert's finished it really looks awesome. I might change the air scoops to matching orange.
