Amazing what is preserved out there. Here is a cherry 1988 with current colors. There are several Mercury Promax 225's for sale out there currently that would make this a 100mph ride for cheap.

Without doubt the finest 23 Daytona in the country. Ready for your twin outboard power. Always stored indoors in environmentally controlled garage. Very low hours with jack plates ,Morse steering, stainless tie bar and all controls. This boat is rigged with hull water pickups including sea strainers. Never have a water pressure problem again! No Power just bolt on your power and go. Was rigged with Mercury outboards. 1988 Hull sat for years in factory condition before being finally rigged in 2000. The original gel coat is pristine with no stress cracks or scratches to be seen. The interior is soft and looks like the day it left the plant. Double axle Eagle trailer is in mint condition with surge brakes, led lights, newer tires with aluminum wheels. FAMILY KEPT FOR 12 YEARS GREAT RIDE ,COMFORTABLE SEATS LOTS OF STORAGE THRUOUT INCLUDING FLOOR,EASY TO DRIVE , BOAT HAS NO QUIRKS ,handles real nice in 2 to 3 footers and afternoon slop with ease stable and flat no worries go boating, cuddy up front is all carpeted Boat is located in McHenry Ill. Price $10,000

This boat might be laid in Kevlar like my 1985. I can see that the deck is a fadeout where it fades from darker to lighter red in the area of the hatch - that was an option Eliminator offered.

I figured you would have some excellent insights Bill. I wonder how one would ID the use of Kevlar? That must have been an expensive option in 1985.
