Ok, so as some of you know I have a 16 and we are on a lake with an 84 inch wide canal we need to pass through to get to the big lake. Anyone have an X 18 and have the actual true beam, widest width of the outside?

I saw one for sale, has be thinking....

Thanks, Tim

I have one. '74. Can measure it later but it is the same as any 18, and style. Hull is the same on all. X, Classic 2 +3, Corsican etc. And I'm thinking it is 84" ...

I believe Lenny is correct, 84".

Make something inflatable, and narrow enough that it will easily pass through the canal, and float the boat on it, inflate it to the point where the boat is lifted high enough to clear the edges, and move it through. Once in the lake, deflate your boat float, and drive away.

Or, rent a slip from someone on the lake and forget about 84".

Or, widen the channel. :)

Would love to see what this channel looks like.

Your 16 "should be" 83" wide. You can make that work through an 84" wide channel?
