This is a rare Donzi model that has been upgraded from the original 454 to a supercharged 502 motor, cruises nicely at 50 MPH and has been up to 86 MPH on a GPS with throttle left over. The motor underwent a major rebuild and update in 2009 by Garry Grimes of Grimes Automotive Machine/Twister Engines in Alpharetta GA. At that time a new Procharger and Konrad outdrive were also installed. This package also includes water and oil intercoolers, powersteering, custom CMI exhaust with silent choice, a dual axle trailer with stainless steel disc brakes, and custom cockpit cover. The motor has less than 50 hours on it. The upholstery, windshields, and carpeting are new. The upholstery was restored to its original cross stitch configuration. The hull does need some TLC. The original 454, exhaust, and original windshields are also available. Over all there is well over 30K of upgrades on this rare beauty. The boat is garaged when not in use. Asking 15000 obo. PM me if interested in making an offer.

This boat is a bargain in my book at the $15k! The Konrad drive alone is pricey. Randy would have wanted one of us Donzi site guys to own and drive it. I have too many boats right now or I would be buying it. Good luck with the sale and I look forward to hearing who buys it.

lady Griz, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Randy in Miami at the International Boat Show in I believe was 2006. He was gracious, kind, knowledgeable and such a joy to coverse with. I bought propellers to try on my Hornet and he was a joy to work with. The remaining propeller that I didn't like on the Hornet was tried on my 1968 18 classic last summer. Randy said to return it and he would refund me, I said nah, I may need it for my next Donzi! LOL! It was a perfect match for my 18 and I know it was Randy looking out for me! Randy had ties to Iowa, that being his Alma Mater, Parsons College! My mom had a farm and was raised close to there, so we felt connected. I am sure you have many emotions today, my hope is that they are all good!
