Mr X did you raise your drive, and what power do you have in there. I have a 18 with a bh and this will be the first summer with the new 600hp power plant, hoping for some great times. Are you running 31 bh props or did you go another way, thanks craig.

I wanted to do that but with whipple it was going to be so high,so we will see.I will be running 31.Phil gave me a lot of great stuff on bh and told me to raise the x that I was losing 5/10mlp.Did you have the bh on at stock or did you raise it up when installed.just wondering how it performed before and after.thanks craig.

Yes, raised the X-dim up almost 3 inches. Running a set or 29's and looking for a set of 31's
Stock Mercury 377 scorpion Blue

You want your chopper style 28" back? I'm trying to sell my 22 otherwise I would swap my 31's for your 29's + a little. 3hrs on them since Bblades blueprinted them.

Mine should be ready in a few weeks and with 1100 hp and 2 years in the making, we hopefully will have some impressive numbers to share soon. The engine was built to accommodate a much larger Whipple if we need 1500 -1600 hp.

Holy smoking cow! What boat and drive will that motor go into?

Here's the hull.... I think it's the only 22+2. The drive is a ITS with a SCX.

Cool part about this boat? We'll get to see it run at a rally, not just on some video posted out on YouTube. Now finish the dam thing!

Yes Roadtrip ... We will also be at Loto Shootout this year for the kilo run. I know to win my class is 68 mph.

That part is true. But, not for a lack of trying. It sat outside less than two miles from the big water for a majority of last year. I invited the previous owner out many times to run with our crew. I don't think he was comfortable with the boat. Oh, and the next time you come to town, don't feel so obligated to sneak in and out, like the last time.

Yep, and bring the boat, back! Boring to run solo. I bet there are more 80+ and 90+ mile per hour Donzis here, than anywhere else in the country. Even the Border Patrol knows that!

Sounds like a plan, been a hectic (rough) couple of years for us, as you know. But all good again.

It would be great to get together up here and run on the big water. We do have a lot of fast 22s up here. I'll probably be at the back of the pack at 83! A run to Put-in-Bay is always fun.

Don't hesitate to head south either! There is some great inland boating down here, plus we have moonshine. I'll even let you take the helm of the bowrider if you think you're up to it....:biggrin.:

Hi Greg and all of you other Donzi friends. well finally the ice gave up , the water is open and our minds tends to slip more and more into boating again. Greg the 2014 fastest Classic thread is great to follow .One correction though. My personal best so far is 100.7 mph (not 102.7) huge difference. Prop was Bravo 34" Best regards Bjorn Carapi Sweden.:sweden:

Sweet Cheekz's .. Yep !! I know I'll need a driver, as we'll be at Chatt. Are you coming ?? I'll let you drive it, as it's going to be alot of fun from 50 -80. It's going to the dyno this week and should be in the range of 1100 hp with alot of torque. Might have to put a large skeg on the bottom to keep it from rolling over.

I'm thinking a great big ole fin right on the bottom, so we can find you easily after a speed run. Kind of like a sail boat rudder. Paint it orange so you're easy to spot, oh wait a minute that won't work, or will it? Maybe a different shade of orange, perhaps?

And before those of you who don't know us start getting concerned, I talk to this guy almost every day, and we like to call this inspiration, or as it is more commonly known, a good defense is a great offense.

-Noise from the Flowerpot, the official chase boat of Inferno aka Homer Special Racing coming to a Donzi Gathering near you sometime in 2014, we think!-

Maybe add some outriggers and make it a trimaran?
Still on the fence about chatt. Although its great fun I finally have a few boats running and its prime lake michigan water at that time of year Ill wait and see if you get that sick boat done!
