Oh snap! That thing is sick. Fifteen Whalers are in my top ten favorite boats ever. Way better hull than the 13, and they run great with a 70 two stroke With the 115 tower of power it's gotta be a screamer. I will be bidding. Don't tell Mrs. DH!

Before we found the bowrider I almost went to the darkside with a 20 Checkmate/300X. Mama didn't like the lack of a sunpad and my daughter felt that tubing at 90 was probably a bad idea. Still a closet whacker fan, but the demo derby soundtrack coming from the transom of an I/O boat is pretty special.

Cool Whaler for sure!

I won't be bidding though - good luck, DH.

Well, it's getting bids with four days to go so that's not a good sign. Gonna keep an eye on it, but only gonna swoop in if it can be had relatively cheap.

Interesting the ad says 55mph with the 115, albeit prop not dialed in yet. Normal 15s will run mid-40s with a 70 ETEC. Seems like it should run at least 84 or so with the big motor. Wonder what "bottom modifications" he made? These cathedral hulls aren't exactly known for great handling >40.

Is it possible to get insurance on a 60% overpowered hull?

Love the rigging, especially the ostrich seats. This thing would be a hoot on some of the little creeks off of the TN River around here. What a cool Whaler!

Do yourself a favor and don't pass this one up for the money. This guy took a lot of care (and open checkbook) to put this together. You'll never see another one like it and could never build it for what it will cost you. Just pull the trigger and be WhalerGuy happy for the rest of your years with a 1 of 1.
