In the few months since we lost Scotty & my Little Brother Matthew to Cancer, my Reel Deel Partner Dwayne and I.... along with a motivated crew of folks have hatched a plan to KICK CANCER'S A$$.
We have formed The Matthew Scot Reel Deel Foundation Inc., applied for IRS Non-Profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, and initiated the work to hold a two day Concert Event in Pearland, TX (just south of Houston) to raise $200,000 for donation to a world renowned Houston based Cancer Research Center. We are not allowed to say which Center, but If I could, it would be instantly recognizable to most all of you.
Those of you who know me more than just words on a screen or the crazy guy at events, know that when I set my mind to something I make it happen. This is no exception, but there is no way Dwayne and I can do this ourselves. We have assembled a very good team of folks who have event and fundraising expereience, and we could always use more help. I have attached some documents that give much more details on what we are doing, when, how, why, etc.
I realize that most of you will only be able to give us your prayers and well wishes, which we greatly appreciate. However, in anticipation of "what can we do to help" questions, we are looking for Donations of Auction Items and/or Funds. With the IRS tax-exemption you get the tax benefit of any donation, so if you're interested in donating please PM me.
Plus, we would love for you to actually come to the event. It is promising to be Kind of a Big DEEL!!
