Apparently ABSOLUTE CLASSICS MARINE in Kelowna, BC has a customer that has just unearthed a 1972 Corsican recently.

This boat has no motor right now. It was shipped from Donzi without a motor also. So there really is no correct engine that needs to go in the boat. My plan is for a BB Chevy and to give it alot of old school features. Should be really nice when its done.

I have always wanted a Corsican for the longest time. Ever since I saw Bills down in Florida at the Donzi Owners Gathering in 2002 I think. And having found a V-Drive is just the iceing on th cake!

This has one of the last interiors that John Harmon did from Bilt-Rite and has never been installed. Its still in the original bags that John wrapped it in.

Just curious where the 427 S/O that was in it ended up? He was selling the Corsican either complete with that engine package or hull only a few years ago?

Nice boat.

He decide to keep the 427 for one of his cars. I feel that a chevy will be a better way to go with dependability anyway. I wasnt that dissapointed. It all worked out great in the end.

Scott, does your Corsican have the Paragon v drive or another brand?

A friend of Bert on this forum just bought my old red v drive Corsican on ebay which still had the Paragon v drive and BBC I had installed about 25 years ago. I think you will find that the shaft angle very much limits the speed in the Corsican. I just sent a customized 2 blade Federal Super Cup X-100 to Bert that I had worked up for my 1975 Corsican when I sold it back in the 1980s. The 450HP LS6(?) pushed mine to about 67MPH where it hit a speed wall due to the shaft angle - at least that is what I concluded. I look forward to seeing your restoration. Unique boats! Bill

Thanks for the info Bill. The entire drive line is rebuild so I'm not sure if I will mess with it to much. Maybe when I get some use out of it I will change somethings around and pick your brain some.:D

Add 105HP for much less money. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BBC-632-CUBIC-INCH-STROKER-ENGINE-845HP-COMPLETE-ENGINE-10-5-COMPRESSION-RATIO-/221141963455?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item337d1692bf&vxp=mtr#ht_5750wt_975

Scott,
The boat Bill had in FL became mine and is the one in the LGDC calendar.

Miss it!

Scott, what's the OD ratio of the box? Mine is 1:1.1 (10% OD) w/ the small block. I've seen a 1:1.15 (15% OD) ratio in the big block boats.
