Tuff is always improving there product on all levels. Any new builder that makes the 10 year mark is doing a lot right and there 21's are the fastest deep V's out there.

Back in the early 90's I raced against Mark on the OPT circuit. He was the toughest OB racer we ran against & most knowable with the OB power. The P class had OB's racing against inboard power Skaters. He even beat our Skater EASTERN EXPRESS in ruff water. With his knowledge about OB's anything he now builds would be a great boat. They were TUFF n UFF.

It's interesting that they didn't go with a blown LS based marine engine with a boat that size. There has to be a reason that everyone is sticking with big blocks for high hp applications. That is going to be a sweet package.

Mark W has built a steller reputation over 10 years. There has been a lot of detailed (and heated) exchange about his Tuff 21 over the past year. It actually is running 101-102 consistently with stock 300XS power which has a little less oomph than a 300X and about 3x the gas mileage.

When you raced against him, I'm curious was he piloting both OB and IO hulls in the early 90's for various teams?

We raced against Mark from 1991 to 94 I never saw him in anything but his OB 32' Skater, or before 1991 he had a 24' Skater OB.

the 21 challenger was a great hull if he improved on it, the tuff 21 is an awesome hull.

sounds like he builds a great product at a very competitive price

would love to see one run

Tuff competes in a "tough" 21 foot class. Here are the bottom designs of the 6 that play ball at high speeds ...........
