Prop stuck

One of my props is stuck. The port side popped right off like usual but the starboard is stuck. Prop is a Hyrdomotive with solid hub. Ideas to get it off?

I used the same amount and type of grease on both of them.

Put the nut back on and use a rubber mallet. If no luck....read George's post.

I would think any of your local prop shops would have the correct puller they could use or rent to you. However,a few good whacks on the backside of the blades with a rubber mallet works for me.

"Local prop shop" doesn't exist. Closest ones are 2 hours east of the boat or 1.5 hours west of it.

My brother is grabbing the boat this weekend and taking it to the East coast so I'll see if he can find a spot over there. I was hoping to get this set off to sell them before the boat left my area but it will work itself out. :yes:

Try some ice in a plastic bag on the exposed prop shaft to shrink it slightly while using the rubber mallet technique gently.

Or try a hair-dryer on the prop's center hub, along with the ice on the prop shaft to expand the hub & shrink the shaft slightly enough to loosen it's tight grip.
