Thanks God. Now, I can start boating more often. Hopefully, it'll get down in to the eighties in the next few weeks. :boat:

Here in the Thousand Islands, most of the summer residents in our place have trailered their boats and left for home. So far today I've seen just a few boats on the River. The Amateurs have finally left!!!!!

This is the start of my favorite boating. When I was young, we boated all but the intense winter months whereas now we get out in all the seasons except the intense summer months - just too hot here in Texas for us older guys .

There's nothing worse than being stuck in a no wake zone in 95* summer heat.
I'm w/Bill and Bob, that October is the start of the season.
The only complaint I have about our boating season is the days are too short.

I try and run to CT right up until Thanksgiving, sometimes I'm lucky and get a warm streak. One time I got stopped by the USCG under the Brooklyn Bridge and searched for contraband.
They look at me like I'm "peculiar".

I've still got a month or two of boating left. I spotted this on Lake St. Clair about a week ago:

Here in Florida, only the amateurs and tourists boat in the hot summer months. That leaves the other 9 months to the real boaters. YESSSSS!

But you know the drill...pull to the south side and at least you get shade when it drops.

Sadly, spent the whole 3 days in my office, working. Come to think of it, that's worse than either side of the lock...

Great action shot Bill!

I think "Gotcha" is a 427 v-drive. OlRed will know.

Heard of 2 more Corsicans on the lakes I boat on over the weekend. Confirmed one. Interesting to note, that makes 10 percent of all of them ever made on those three lakes alone. Tight concentration of rare boats.

Ed is a very talented, and fashionable sort of guy. He visited me at my shop once to critique me and how I dress, how clean I keep my shop, and whether all the tools were clean and put away! I thought he'd never finish!

Jim, I don't know from personal experience, but I've been told Lake Havasu gets pretty hot in the Summer.

Then, somewhere in the top six or so, is my shop @ 3:00-5:00 PM. even w/two fans running.

Don't fugh with Ed D, he's the only guy who ever broke 100mph in a 16 Classic. A record that still stands to this day :checkered: He's forgotten more about how to go fast than we'll ever know
