Within one week two of my old restored Donzis surfaced from when I sold them in the mid 80s. I bought both of these Donzis from one man in Kemah, TX back in the mid 80s, restored them, and sold them both to different guys. The blue 1970 GT-21 on ebay now and my old red 18' Corsican inboard that a friend just wrote me about. Too cool - :smash:

They just never go away, do they?

It would be more surprising happening to anyone but you! Your fleet is pretty remarkable.

I guess not, but it is a little surprising that they are still around after so many years. I think it is a little like the school teacher who runs into their students 27 years after graduation - lol.

I would seek help for my boating enthusiasm, but my doctor is also a boater.

I still have a custom 2 blade Nibral prop that I had tweaked for the Corsican back in about 1987. When I got the prop back from the prop service, I called the buyer but he had decided to "detune" the engine so he never wanted it. The Imron still looks good in these pictures my friend sent to me, but the rudder looks bent.

Both the GT21 and the Corsican are on ebay right now. I'd provide links, but I don't know how on my IPad.

Thanks Bill.
The Corsican met reserve and sold for $10,000 which is only $500 less than it sold for in 1987 or thereabout. That boat was a rocket to 67MPH, but the heavy shaft angle held it back. I wonder where it is going now?

I got my answer this evening after contacting the seller thru Ebay. Troy and I ended up talking for about 30 minutes where he informed me that a Florida collector who specializes in inboards bought the Corsican. The collector has around 70 boats now! Troy is now restoring a Cobalt GT-500 and also has a Chris Craft X-18 and an XK-19. Needless to say, we clicked on the phone! He is after a 1960s sweet 16 of which I may know the original owner due to location and history that he knows. Too many stories to tell right now. Bill
