Ever since Scot modified the software I've stopped getting an email when there is a reply to a string I've started or posted in. I've checked my preferences and I should be getting them. Anyone else have this problem? I don't want to keep bothering Scot as he has bigger things to deal with.

no

i don't have it set to automatically subscribe to any threads i post in or start but i used the thread tools to subscribe instantly to this thread only , it shows in my subscribed folder with instant email notification and my email is correct but no email was sent by the site

Correct. I'm sure most of us subscribe to a thread we may be interested in by clicking on "inform me instantly" through email. That does not work for me either, although when I look at properties it still shows that I am subscribed to several threads. What does work for me however, is the instant notification on PM's that get sent to me. That PM notification come right to my email addy. One of these happened this morning in fact.
