I just completed a restoration of my 1972 18' Donzi. I changed outdrives to a Bravo speedmaster shortie. the engine did 417hp. on the dyno. it is set up for LH rotation.

I put it in the water last weekend with a loaner (old)4 blade 24 pitch and it felt like 2nd. gear starts although it was unbelievable to be back on the boat.

Could anyone give me advice on what make, style, dia., and pitch prop to use? Am I best keeping it LH which the boat always was or would I be better with RH for prop selection?

If you are driving on the port side of the boat, I'd stay LH prop. RH props are more available but if you run the boat solo she'd really lean over to port spinning RH. With a shorty I'd say 4 blade, maybe try a 23 or 25p Rev 4...
