This question came up in my trailer tire thread. I know I can get my rig weighed but I only need a ballpark figure now. About how much does a late model, BBC, 22 Classic on a trailer weigh? Mine is an '05. Thanks.

1550lbs for the BBC and Bravo and 7lbs per gallon of fuel carried is a start Carl.

I think the official weight is about 3,500#.

Mine is a -98 hull. I bought it without engine -09 .Added an HP 500 (all cast iron) 2 ram Imco steering.Bravo 1. 25lbs of railing .10 galons of gas then took it to the scales since i´m a bit of a nerd when it comes to know all the parameters and facts of my fast going toys like cars and boats. The weight was 3.720lbs for the boat alone . My homebuilt trailer ´s weight was 528lbs .I took it to the same scales after putting the boat in water. I even weight the pressure on the coupler (is that the word) of my car with the boat on and it was a bit high at 420lbs. But i had to guess a bit when i build the trailer and it became a bit high but it works just fine.

Exactly what I needed. Thanks guys. Mine should be real close to fysis' boat with similar mods, although my stock 525 is much slower than the beast from Sweden. So my whole rig with a bit of fuel is about 4,250 pounds. Fysis, tongue weight can be up to 10% and you are within that range. My tongue weight is a bit high too since I had to move the boat forward on the trailer about 5 inches. My boat also tows very well and the trailer is level and the tires appear equally loaded. My tires have plenty of extra capacity rating and should work fine which is what I was wanting to know. Fysis, it's always good to hear from our friends around the world. That's a great looking boat and one of the fastest I am aware of. Congrats on a good looking son to share it with also.

I had to weigh my trailer because they do not have titles in Alabama and FL needs the weight. Anyway it is your jo-schmoe dual axle alum 7k trailer with torsion axles and it weighed 980. so boat with full tank and gear is just shy of 5k on the trailer.

That's still within rated capacity but next time I will get load range D tires.

I based my trailer calcs on 4000# for boat, fuel, and gear. I put a 5200# axle under the trailer with 3000# rated, 16" tires.

I know, I have one of the few single axle trailers out there under a 22. Works well. :D

So a 22 Classic weighs 3,620lbs without gas and with a prop. Subtract roughly 900lbs for the motor and 500lbs for the drive leaves you with 2,220 the hull, interior and rigging.

My 16 weighed in at 1107lbs with no tank, rigging or interior as a point of comparison to 2,220
