HI gang...I'm trying to source a replacement shifter handle for my 76 X-18 and having a hard time identifying what model I have. I believe it to be Morse and original to my boat. It has a threaded knob that screws into the pivot point and pulls out for throttle operation only. Any help would be appreciated!

Yup, you're correct, it is a Morse arm if it looks something like this: http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh256/graham22k/utf-8BSU1BRzA0NjEuanBn_zps31cab8f7.jpg

There are splines to match a splined shaft and a set screw on the bottom. You can find them here or on ebay. Morse was bought by someone else and about three years ago I was able to order a new arm from that company but I can't remember who it is. Google and the classified ads here are your friend. Might check the ski nautique forums too. What happened to the old one, did it break?

never mind, I just saw the picture. Try calling these guys and asking them who their largest / oldest stocking dealer is.

BTW, if you get in touch with Scott Pearson on this forum, he might still have some walnut donzi control knobs. They are sweet!

Dakari, you're in luck! Get one, trust me, you'll love it, it's like a piece of wooden Donzi jewelry. You can catch a glimpse of mine in my Dinner Cruise Pics.

No problem Scott, I love my knob (that doesn't sound right, lol) it really pops and looks great!

Pipnit, thanks for the reply. The closet thing I can find that resembles it is this...

That ST/STB arm wont work for my application. Going to hit a couple of salvage yards tomorrow.

Scott, as soon as I get a new lever I'll be in contact to dress it up. I saw them when they were listed at the website in the for sale section. They ARE awesome!

is there a lever for neutral in the center of that throttle arm?

yes, theres a knob that screws into the splined shaft that pulls out to give throttle only.
