Sean were you at Gravenhurst?

Yes!!! an amazing day. Long, sweltering hot, and with raceboats running from 9AM to 4PM.
I was so stupid though, as I forgot my camera by the door before I left. :bawling:

"Canadiana Grand Prix" opened the day with a glorious supercharged 392 Chrysler Hemi sound that rattled the pictures in our lakeside hotel room.

Miss Supertest III (the 1959, 60, 61 Harmsworth Trophy winner) was on dryland display and after all these years is still an impressive boat. "APACHE", a 40 foot offshore boat was certainly impressive too amongst all the early Gold Cup boats. Some of the F1 tunnels looked so amazing carving around the corners at speed flat as a pancake just past the docks.

Dissapointingly, Miss Canada IV (made by Greavette), the headlining boat was not running due to ignition issues with her V12 Rolls-Royce Merlin. Similarly, my Greavette did not make it into the lake this weekend as the power steering pump was leaking along with a few other teething problems after her heart transplant.

What a day!
