I noticed the chromed "hooks" on each side just inboard of the forward facing air scoops. Are these factory or installed aftermarket? What are they for?

I think $8k is a tad high considering it needs paint, etc.

What you see is half of the original latch that held down the motor cover, there was one on each side and looked like this picture of my 1970 ski sporter. Someone owner must have changed over to the center latch which in my opinion is a bad design.
