Anyone ever see one break like this (looks like to took of part of the hub!). Was replaced 1 month ago...

Nope. Be interesting to post pictures of what you find when you take it apart, and figure out what went wrong.

Bad cast or the bearing cap/buddy bearing knocked out wrong?

That had to be a casting issue. Microscopic fracture of some kind. Curious to know where is was made, most likely stamped on the back of the hub. I would consider replacing the bearings and races with Timkin stuff, while you are in there.

May have been Chinese bearings, I can't count the returns we had. These days you have to make an effort to get quality US stuff.

Well, the guy who put on the new wheel bearing (U-Ship guy), must have not used a cotter pin on the hub nut because the hub nut was MIA, and would explain why it all came apart and ruined the hub.

It's a wonder that the wheel didn't fall off taking the hub with it.
