I always leave the GPS in my phone turned off unless I specifically need it for something.

Last spring I came across a dead deer on the side of the road and called the local police dept. to report it. I called the front desk, not 911 and gave the dispatcher the location. Later that day I noticed the GPS on my phone was turned on...
