Anyone intrested in a couple of get togethers on the St Lawerance this summer. Was thinking Sat June 15 and Sat Aug 10. These are both poker runs of america events on the river. The June 15 event out of Alexandria Bay Ny, and the second Aug 10 out of Kingston Ont. Usually a couple good days of boating on the river and see some of the fastest boats run.

I've always wanted to check this area out. Do you need any Special passes to launch similar to a lake pass on LG? Is it fresh water or brackish?

Thanks,
Matt

I read an article on this area in BoatUS last month. What a beautiful place. Ian Corstine's "One in a Thousand" island is quite the destination. Looks like a great summer getaway.

This is a laid back event! We have in the past met-up on the river in Kingston Ont. and spend the day running the river. The water is clean, and run as fast and hard as you feel. These two event are at the same time as the poker runs, so we will set-up to watch some fast boat run. For our American friend can launch on the US side and hook-up or come to Kingston or Gananoque an launch form there. Lots of Lodging in Gananoque, Ont. or in Kingston, Ont.

if you put in on the canadian side and don't set foot on the american side you don't have to do anything

if you want to get out of the boat on the american side just bring your passport
there are check in stations all over the place ( its alot like going over in a car) except you talk to them on a video phone

make the trip its worth it

If launching from the Canadian side we hook-up on the river with our American friends and head to the US side to watch. No registration, no fees. Was thinking of launching in Gananogue. Meeting out front of Gan for 9.

Looking forward to the run Aug 10th. John I have tried to call a couple times, I will give you another try this week. Usually what happens The Canadian guys launch in Kingston at Portsmouth Olympic Harbour usually around 8:30am. Lots of parking, good ramps. We then make a mile run east on the lake into downtown Kingston where the poker run is held. We meat up there with are American friends and head east along the river and set-up to watch the poker boats. We spend the day running the river and try to be back up river to watch the boats run into Kingston around 3pm. I was thinking of a bbq at my place in Kingston after. So I will need to know who is in.

Just got back from 4 days in the Islands. Water level is still great. Checked 75% of the draft in the Bay and it is good and cold.

Just a thought, how about monitoring ch. 68 if anyone needs to be in contact?
