That the St Lawrence isn't always rough.

Sometimes she lays pretty flat.

It was like this all day.

Ken,

it was only really rough coming back from Clayton that one day the rest of the time it was ok.

the family had a great time up there, but that ride thru all the cruiser wakesback to a-bay that day was not so much fun.

Hard to have big waves when it is only 10' deep....Ed

Matty, no, that is in front of my camp looking across the shipping channel to the southern shore of Wolfe Island (Canada).

It is approx 1.75 miles across to the shore of Wolfe Island.

Yeah, I know what you mean.

I obviously haven't been in big waves yet.

Ed, in past years, the ledge at the waters edge is usually under water by 16-18 inches this time of year.

On a good note it is higher now than last year at this time.

Ken, thats about what the ledges looked like when we stopped by last August. Is there enough water yet to get yer boat out of the boathouse?

John, there was exactly 3 feet in my boathouse under the lower unit, (I park nose in).

I am thinking by the time the river clears it self of debris, maybe in a couple of weeks, I will be able to splash it.

Matty, there was the day when you and I ducked, and everybody else took a St.Lawrence shower....

There is at least one thread on OSO that is following the water depth closely. Some reporta agree with the NOAA data that the level is down 12-18" from this time last year. Ed D, we need you to keep on drinking beer and pissin' in the lake :jester: .

Ken it has looked like that the last couple days. Had our first ride of the season today, to smooth could only hit 100. Ran on the Big Rideau today, but the river was glass all day. Might hit the river tomorrow. Hot, sunny, no wind and no boat traffic! At one time I use to hunt duck on that side of Wolfe Island. Hope you didn't get any of my shot over that way!
