Ice going out of Lake George

Just about over now, lots of action this year.. That is Pilot Knob Marina with the blue house and flag.

does the ice pick up alot of stuff with it when it does that? do they allow barn fires on the ice?? we have had ice out of our lake for a few weeks now but with the fires from the ice fisherman and pieces of docks and other stuff the ice picks up there are a ton of floaters on my lake. it usually takes a few good windy days or a few weeks for it to find it's way to the shore.

Lots of junk in the water for a few weeks. Wreckage of peoples docks mostly. Hit a 12' 6x6 at 40 mph and you have a problem.

when I first had my 16 in '03 or so I had to rush the season we had a warm spring I was out there first warm day after ice out on my lake I hit something didn't fail til a week or so later
lesson learned not to rush the season . I remember seeing a pic of fasteddie's house I think with a huge chunk over hanging the bulkhead just about as high as the house

At least you can see the big stuff. The barely floating beams are what kills me.
