A local Velocity owned by a Pensacola business man crashed today in Gulf Breeze. My next door neighbor is the City of Gulf Breeze Fire Chief. He responded with his paramedics. The owner/driver was killed. 2 passengers are critical and the other 2 are stable. Witnesses said the boat was running at high speed in a area where water is about 15-20 feet deep, hit a wave and then stuffed nose down hitting the bottom and exploded, not on fire, just splintered. No one was wearing a PFD.
