Foam ?

I cut holes for speakers in the sides just behind the front seats. There is foam going all the way up on the port side and partially on the starboard side. Can i chip it out and seal it with epoxy resin or what is the deal ? It's a 1990 18 classic. Thanks in advance.

Chip out what you need. Should be a closed cell foam so it wont need to be sealed.

I actually plunged a holesaw into it several times and it came out easier than i expected. I did mix up some epoxy and brushed it on. I had some left over from a project. Better safe than sorry !
