I was wondering how to bypass the OPS on this engine on my pressure washer. It (OPS) has screwed me over too many time as they will not last. Do I take off the lead and float it, or do I need to ground the lead, in order to bypass the switch?

Thanks, Bob

is it a *make* or *break* switch?

it is actually a Generac engine. GN220. it has a small oil filter with a OPS next to it with one lead going to the top of the switch. Don't know what kind of switch it is.

can't even find a picture of one.

I would guess it's a normally open switch....of course you could check the normal (no pressure) conductivity and see.
I suppose (since they tend to fail) you'd need to check a new switch.

Rebuilt the carb, new fuel, no start. Took off lead to switch, still no start. Want to, though. Only thing I didn't do was ground the lead. Getting late and football about to start, so I am going to bite the bullet and get a new switch. Pain in my balls.

Thanks guys.
