Gents,

I knew I had to get one and I fell in love with the Z boats. Knowing my family and the space I would need, I honed in on the only Z bowrider I could find in the 80's design profile I love. The ZB21 was rare but I knew I could find one if I looked long enough. I looked for about 6 months until one day an 87 ZB21 popped up on ebay. I called the guy, took a look, and bought it.

The boat was owned by a true mariner. He restores wooden yachts as a hobby and kept the Donzi as a family runabout. He took great care of it, preserved the stock styling when replacing worn upholstery or parts, and knew his stuff when it came to boats. He also truly loved the ride and noise from the small block and side exit exhaust.

Specs:
1987 ZB21, Red
Merc 350, brand new rebuild with 1 hour on motor and warrantee
Alpha 1 outdrive with stainless prop, recently rebuilt
New upholstery
cockpit covers
galvanized trailer
boat repainted with Awlgrip

Plans:
Autometer gauges and some custom dash bezel work
Livorsi steering wheel
stereo with ipod integration
bottom paint redone with matching hull color.

The boat is currently in my garage so the photos are poor. I can't wait until the spring when I dust it off!

Matt
