Would you sell the external steering only? I have a blackhawk drive so I guess I need the plate and rams or you tell me where I get them.. I live in Sweden but my friend lives in Florida so you don't have to ship here.

A wingplate from a Bravo will work on the Blackhawk. I only had to do some very minor grinding to the wingplate to clear the BH case. The wingplate works because it bolts to the 4 studs that hold the drive on. I don't use the two bolt locations on the end drive, but with the wingplate being 1/4" thick, they are not needed.
Pic is of the plate on my Bravo, but I used the same one when I switched to BH.

Professor: That's a good deal if I'm reading it correctly and you are selling with the steering. Good luck with the sale

Whats the deal with the black hawk? I know it was discontinued and last time I mentioned it at the marina they said to stay away from it.

Is it reliable? are parts available? I love the looks of the drive and this price sounds reasonable.
I know at some point I want to switch to a shorter drive.

I won't sell the steering unless the drive sells. Same goes for the props.

I thought It was a Damn god deal too. I'm into it for way more.

Oh god your marina is clueless, Everything except for the case and vert shaft is either bravo/bravo3 parts. You can get a vert shaft from Max machine. Hoss will still make props so that is covered too. early black hawks used weaker thin floor gears and the drive was hard on them. This drive has thick floor bravo X gears. You can barley get steering for the price I have listed.

Tons of info here on them but you do have to wade through the BS

If you wanted a bravo x expect to spend 4k+
Imco -2 shorty 2.5+
steering 2k+
5 or 6 blade prop 1k+
total cost 9.5k+ and it will probably run slower than a BH
