Might be a good deal for someone @ $5700.

Sometimes ads just look a bit shady even if they may not be..."Donzi 19' " & "smallest of the Donzis"... At $5700 it would sure be worth a call or two to find out though.

Come on now, the LXRs are pretty good boats. I definitely wouldn't be running a Donzi at this point in my life if there wasn't a bowrider available. I love the Classics, but got veto'd by the girls for something with a sunpad, seating for friends, a bunch of cupholders, and a monster stereo. I can load the boat with two couples, three coolers, beach bags and purses, towels, floaties, fenders, a tube, a bimini top, and a sleeve of red Solo cups and not have anything rolling around the cockpit. Try that in a Classic...

At the end of the day I would much rather be in a Donzi than any other cookie-cutter bowrider, and based on the thumbs-up we get out on the river a lot of folks agree.

I feel like I looked at a different ad than everyone else. The ad I saw had virtually no information at all about the boat, other than it was 19’ long.

If someone contacted the seller, and got additional information, great! Please share what was learned.

But at this point, there seems to be a lot of speculating about what this boat is/isn’t. Until more is known, please just stick to the facts.

Well said Duckhunter.

Looks like the guy has another listing of the same boat, but still no pics.

Very nice setup Carl C. I guess I should have added a caveat to my statement - I can store my stuff without doing the commando crawl into the bow!

Like I said, the LXR has been the ideal boat for us. The one advertised needs some love for sure, but it might clean up pretty well with a little elbow grease. Not sure if the 19 had the stepped hull or not. And they are relatively heavy boats - might be a little underpowered with the 4.3. That said, you probably won't see another one as the production numbers were pretty low. I would rather have the CL Donzi than drop $35k on a new 19' bowrider.

My biggest gripes with the LXR are the glued in carpet, cheesy ski locker hatch, and the difficulty of accessing the engine compared to newer designs. Pluses are that it's a Donzi and the overall build quality is on par with mid to upper tier runabout builders at that time. Definitely not a Cobalt or Bryant, but IMO on par with Regal/Crownline/Sea Ray and heads and tails above the rest. Good thick marine vinyl, through-bolted SS hardware, a real anchor locker with drain, etc.
