Ed, if you go to:

Community > Member List

You can sort by the different column headers. Just click on them to sort ascending or descending.

What's nice is it re-sorts the whole member list, NOT just the thirty or so on the page where you are.

Anytime you do that, you can just cut and paste the URL that's in the box at the top of your browser, and then paste it elsewhere.

Dear Edward (the retired):

If the oilman cometh, we shall dine.
Some talk he may be in Abu Dabi, but we'll see.

F-name, Come on out to AOTH with Ghost and that sweet Cig next Spring. Or tow with him, and bring something of your own. A few weeks ago, he showed us the videos of your Nova running, and that would certainly be welcome and awesome to see at the docks at Jamestown.

Greg, don't you have some more board-racing to do?:propeller:

A long while ago, I took some tongue-in-cheek swings at an ongoing thread started by Greg. The basic theme was to report how fast your boat would run on this site. After I studied it, I stated that people might just be exaggerating their numbers, and suggested the way to find out what a boat really did, was to run at a rally in front of your peers, as bench racing or board racing might not really prove much.

It was really just a trash talking exercise on my part to make some noise about getting folks to attend AOTH, in a run what you brung intent. This used to go on every year here in preparation and anticipation for the next run, not just AOTH. But I was taken seriously, even though I was just busting someone, and now a year or so later, I have someone with an agenda present, just about every time I post here.

Time to move on, as it is getting old in a stalking, creepy kind of way.

Huh....whadayaknow....I haven't been around for something like 2 years and I've only just dropped out of the top 10.

(as they say, "I'm not dead yet", though I have been quite distracted)

Maybe I'll come back 'round and see if I can crawl my way back into the 10th spot. I know y'all miss me...

I think I have some old pages from the original forums saved on my computer somewhere. Back when Jim Cancil started it all. I remember Tim Morris of course, Frank Cevitano, Gene Drago and a few others. I'll post them up if I can find them, fun to read. Must have been mid '90's at least. Long before any broadband connections! They were linked on this site too, but they seemed to vanish along with the great "registry" that Scot was supposed bring back but never did. I'm still pissed about that because I and a couple other folks offered to help with it. It was an important list that'll never be duplicated.

Howard sorry your so pissed. Things dissappeared because i migrated the site to a full featured forum package around 1998 called UBB. The boat registry page was originally done by a nasa coworker and i in cold fusion on a windows web server. When ubb forum software started going down hill i migrated the site to the current package called vbulletin. Since this package ran better and faster on a linux web server. The software for the boat registry will not run on a non windows webserver. I still have all the files , photos, and database. Howard if you have a spare 600 to 700 bucks or a free php mysql programmer who knows vbulletin integration please step up.

Howard - yes, I remember that!

1997, dial-up, long distance from the cottage no less.
That cost me $300 for the first month before I figured out
the long distance AOL was charging.

Having 10 & 13 early adapter kids helped me drive up those minutes too.

Here is the 16' I was talking about back then -

Thanks Ghost. Watching episodes on my phone has become my latest pass time since the DONZI is in storage for the winter.
