Wow. Thanks for the additional info. Can't decide if it's beautiful or ugly. But it does look like a good family boat that can be towed by a 1/2 ton.

Pluses: do-it-all nature. unique. deep. roomy. pump-out head. engine access. cabin amenities. swim platform. sun pad. price. split throttle / shift. towable. Ubiquitous engine / drive (with bravo).

Minuses: unique. you break parts / you have to make parts. expected mid-fifties top end. far away. no bow-rider. probably not great ski boat. Lot's of other boats in the price range.

Remember that the deeper the deadrise the less likely it will work for skiing. What is your budget and desired length?

Interesting thought about the relationship between deadrise and ski ability.

A 23xri mid cabin would be ideal, but $10k is a lot more palettable than $20k...

If you are more inclined toward skiing you could look at an Advantage Citation 22 which is a very large 22 footer and comes in a mid cabin open bow. The deadrise on this hull is 16 degrees versus the Warlock 23 XRI which is 24 degrees. Here is one that might still be for sale near you below. I think if you want "turn key" at $10K your choices will be very limited whereas at $20K you will start to get a nice selection in the under 24 foot size.

1991 Advantage Citation openbow 22'. I am the original owner. This boat is in great condition. Stock Merc 454 330 hp 60mph. The engine is still strong, never had any issues with it. Serviced yearly, I have all records. Always garaged, used and stored in Lake Havasu for past 15 years. Bimini, 2 stainless props, dual batteries, tandem trailer w/chrome wheels, bravo outdrive, cuddy cabin w/seats on either side, openbow, stand-up bolsters, seats 10+, thru hull exhaust w/silent choice, depth finder, dual 32 gal gas tanks

Thanks Greg. I agree on the $$$ and turn key issue. That's why the radar has to be sharp for the right boat / deal. The 3 kids range from 2 to , so I'm expecting to ski too much for another 10 years. Deeper boat is probably better. I'm moving to houses this weekend, so I have my hands too full to take the corsairs seriously right now. Pretty interested though, as it looks like it ticks all the right boxes for me...Maybe the Corsair for a few years, THEN a Warlock mid-cabin. Have a great Thanksgiving (all). Dave911

I'd also look for an Ultra 23XS which has an 18 degree deadrise so a little more forgiving then the Advantage Citation 22. They built them in a very interesting configuration which was a walk through mid cabin open bow. The little jumper seats are great for the kids to get out of the sun yet you get the ease of just walking right through to the open bow. Good luck.
