Hornet on it's way for a deck of restoration in Pittsburgh PA.
Ken, Linda, Aaron, Ben and Dan of wwwynotyachts.com know
what to do and I expect it to be done for next summer. I can't
to ride in the Baby's big Brother.
We will keep you up to date as it progresses. 73673

The boys, Ben and Aaron are so excited about this boat and I don't blame them. We spent the summer in Thousand Islands with the Baby and they so enjoyed that boat that they are loving life about this one.
They have several beautiful boats and I am pretty sure this one will be the most used from now on.
I have to say this will be our boat just like my boats are theirs.

Cool!
My '67 Ski Sporter (hull #420)was invoice # 839 on 5/27/67.
Always great to reconstruct the timeline and original documentation is forever.

Congrats on the boat and keep us posted on the resto.

Wow Bert, I can't imagine that there are many original build sheets left out there. It is very cool to see the old school handwritten paperwork.

it is great when the heritage and the history are documented and honored on a project and not lost in the resto process.

I can't imagine that there are many original build sheets left out there. It is very cool to see the old school handwritten paperwork. you might be surprised how many build cards like that still exist.... I would say hundreds, I personally have seen a couple-three thousand....

It it weren't for LGDCC there would be no build cards, am I correct?

Bert,
The built cards are not ever with the title or the books. These were both furnished to Mario by the LGDCC.

It it weren't for LGDCC there would be no build cards, am I correct? not thats not correct, the build cards were around for light years before the LGDCC got ahold of them. There are also a TON more that they don't have, including anything after 1988, the Chris Craft, and AMH years, and up to 2007ish... which the .org board was able to recently purchase. There is only ONE set of originals in circulation, but there may be quite a few scanned copies...

The dash and a progress report.

The dash looks fantastic! Those SW gauges have a nice vintage look and feel to them similiar to the old Teleflex gauges. I take it you are re-locating your light switch and ignition.

Do you have model or PNs for the SW gauges or were they custom made or refurbished.

Those gauges are awesome! Perfect for a restored classic boat. I would love to throw some in a musclecar instead of the belly-button autometers that everyone uses.

So what other shiny bits have shown up?

SanDogDewey

Never mind the question on the gauges. I found them and SW is VERY proud of them.

The Hornet looks great! You have a lot of fairing / painting ahead of you, and not a lot of time to do it... Fill up the beer fridge and get to work!

That bench seat is coming along nice! Is that the original windshield assembly or did you make it from scratch? I am looking for one for my 66 bench seat Hornet. If you know of a source PM me. Again nice work!
