What are those two black round flange-like units mounted on the transom just below the twin switchable exhaust muffler tips ?

I also see the Mercathode sensor units mounted below these unknown (at least to me) round units.

Very Cool SpeedBoat~~~

But I doubt I could ever get myself to squeeze through to that front cockpit very easily ;-)

What are those two black round flange-like units mounted on the transom just below the twin switchable exhaust muffler tips ? those flanges may be cover plates for the original thru hull exhaust since the early boats came with log style manifolds and low exit tips.... I don't think those trim tabs are original though or the rams and hoses that are there now were definately changed/added at some point using the original tabs
